OUR MISSION

Many changes have taken place since its founding, but the Center's mission remains the same: to provide preventive health services and educational programs at no cost to the community at large. By building powerful partnerships and professional relationships, the Center is able to reach out to the community's underserved, fulfilling these unmet needs with dignity and respect.

HISTORY

In 1975, Dr Robert Goldman, a respected Leominster physician, realized his dream of providing a place where any person could receive·health services for little or no cost.

He felt that health and well being are more than the absence
of disease; that a person should be considered as a whole being, interacting with and reacting to his/her environment.

Dr. Goldman's vision was realized in September, 1975 when the doors of The Multi-Service Center opened. The United Fund provided an initial investment of $1800.
