HISTORY
In 1975, Dr. Robert Goldman, a well - respected Leominster physician, realized his dream of providing a place where any person who wished to do so could receive helath services for little or no costs. He felt that health is more than just the absence of disease; that a person should be considered as a whole being interacting with and reacting to his / her environment. Dr. Goldman believed that stresses within the environment may cause an illness or worsen an existing illness. The Multi - Service Center opened its doors in September of 1975 with $1800 from the United Fund.

The Center is now more than 25 years old and
much has changed during this time, but its mission remains the same.....
to identify and serve the needs of the community at large with an emphasis on preventive health programs and the expansion of economic and social opportunity for all.
